Rose d'Armagnac
 A quiet, rural campsite, offering peace and tranquillity along with a chance to unwind and restore one’s sanity.  It is operated and run by an English family who live on site.  It is set in the beautiful rolling countryside of Gascony, the gastronomic heartland of France, where the Brandy called Armagnac is produced, experts consider it to be superior to Cognac.
18 emplacements from foral terrace pitches to  casual woodland spots. We also have two mobile homes to let by the week or night.
It covers an area of some 22 acres, including some woodland and has its own small lake that is available for fishing.


                                     

Coast/Beach

The Atlantic Coast is a 1h30 to 2hour drive away depending where you go to.
Barritiz is a 3hour drive
No swimming pool on site so no noise from yelling swimmers.
However at Montreal 2km away there is a fishing lake with a beach and picnic area.
There is a swimming complex 7Km away it is reputedly the largest in Europe, Also 2 other swimming areas are within a 15km radius. Swimming areas here are open in July and August only so please be aware of this for early and late season bookings.

Travel

Airports are in Toulouse 1h30 drive away or Bordeaux, Pau, Bergerac all about 2 hours drive.
We recommend you hire a car or arrive by car in order to make the most of this area.
It is rural and most villages and towns are fairly well spaced in comparison to the UK.

It is surrounded by vineyards and fields, sunflowers appear to be the main crop grown, that are so peaceful that deer are quite often seen on the site .
It has a  number of pitches available for touring caravans, camper vans and tents as well as 2 mobile holiday homes.

Why the owner chose this location.
 This camp-site we have created ourselves here in rural France. We moved here to change our lifestyle and now have this camping. This is a wonderful place for relaxing and exploring this corner of France. We love the local restaurants and also work on the Local Markets in our other business so know all the lovely villages and festivals - Flower Market Fources (April) Jazz in Marciac (August), Country Music Mirande (July) and the many night markets and can tell you when it's best to go. Rose d'Armagnac is conveniently situated in the north of the Gers in one of the beautiful villages of France. This is a sought after listing for French villages and the villages that have this label have to fulfil a rigorous criteria.

Unique benefits of this Camping.

This is a quiet country site, with woodland and a small fishing lake, deer are often seen on the site. Wild boar tracks are often seen and they can be seen in the autumn months if you are quiet and lucky. This lovely nature is the reason why we have decided not to put a swimming pool on-site.

These are older mobile homes but well equipped and clean, we always ask our visitors to ask for anything else they need in them and are always willing to try and provide as much as possible within the storage capacity of a mobile home. We have deliberately chosen not to put in televisions, DVD players and stereos, we do provide books in French and English in the mobiles homes and have a book swap option in the camping reception/office.
